Nine Partners are currently supporting the Rural Housing Enabler’s work in North West Wales to cover the counties of Gwynedd, Anglesey, Conwy and North Powys. The work involves identifying the local housing need and to ensure that housing provision is provided within The Rural Housing Enabler worked with the local community council to identify a need for family homes through a survey sent to each household in the area. The Enabler then worked with Grŵp Cynefin, Gwynedd Council and Harlech Town Council to develop the site. Arfon Hughes, Senior Rural Housing Enabler, said: The Rural Housing Enabler from Action with Communities in Rural Kent agreed the format of the survey and covering letter with the Parish Council and District Council; a copy of the survey was posted to every household in the parish in May 2018. Surveys were returned in pre paid envelopes to Action with Communities in Rural Kent.

At an event with the WLGA and Community Housing Cymru in the Royal Welsh Show, the Deputy Minister for Housing, Jocelyn Davies, announced more details on the extension of the 'Rural Enabler' scheme. £400,000 will be available for the Rural Housing Development scheme this year.
